Area-Transform
Photography, 2017 / Installation 2017

30 - 11 -2017 until 25 - 03 -2018

“Area Trans-Form” is the result of exploration and observation of public space in Bangkok, which revealed insights into people’s use of public spaces. The lack of functioning space has pushed people into public areas, leading them to use objects or materials as a tool to occupy and transform any space to suit their needs. The use of objects to interfere with the existing space(public space) creates ambiguity in the meaning of “Spatial-Object”, for example, when an owner wraps a store with a piece of cloth after working hours, the wrapped immediately occupied the space and have become a spatial-object embedded in a public scenery. The function of the space then again changes once the wrapping is unfurled, everything is previously hidden spills

out into the surrounding transformed the area into something different.or put object and place them in the space then leave them there like open-air storage. for me, this is how they act and fight to have the opportunity to become the owner of an expensive value area.

 Project announcement

In this project, I use objects and photography to play with installation at the same time also occupied space in this exhibition.  I start by use objects installation to intervention exhibition space like hang artwork from ceiling air vents, build the wall to force the audience to walk pass by a push through.

In this exhibition, All of my installations will keep transforming overtime and keep moving to fill any empty space in the exhibition room.

Phase 2 : Transform

Phase two : Transform
Ongoing project: Objects transform

After that, I play with exhibition space and the gap between other artist artwork by putting my artwork to fill and transform the space between other artists then occupied that space.

After the deconstruct, Objects from the wall will spread all over the exhibition room. We will see many pieces of personal use space intervention in any surrounding empty space in the exhibition room.

Later on, After transform artwork in that area. In the end, I will swap installation objects with photographs in the same place then move the objects or deconstruct them. As you can see the photography is merging into the wall or the floor of the exhibition room and also occupied that space to be my own even after the objects move to another place.

Photography works as a tool for intervention and occupied space. They also work as the document time of change in the exhibition room. It's the footprint of the objects that transform the surrounding space from time to time. That always happens radically all over the exhibition room.

Phase 3 : Intervention
